Recent User Experience

It's a sharps container that must hold several hundred used syringes. I love it. And BD is one of the top manufacturers of sharps containers (and of course, syringes we throw into them). Now, I would not use this sharps container if you're a diabetic in a home with small children, because they can easily reach down into the mouth of the container. Also, this probably shouldn't be used in any health care setting where someone could get into it when no one's watching. It's easy to remove the used syringes.BD manufactures (and Amazon sells them) more expensive sharps collectors that make it very difficult to remove the used syringes. I don't have young children around, so this is plenty safe. And it holds a boatload of used sharps, so my trips to the state medical waste disposal facility is less frequent. No, you should not throw this into your trash when it's full.Edit 10 July 2016I've just bought my third one of these from Amazon. Just me alone, putting in syringes, lancets, and empty vials of insulin (not really necessary, but very safe), I get about 5-6 months of use. Your mileage may vary of course. You'll get more use if you do not use it as a trash container for your syringes. Caps, paper overwrap, and other non-syringe/non-needle devices shouldn't go in here.Remember, it's illegal in most jurisdictions to dispose of needles in your trash. That's a hazard for lots of people. And putting them in an empty coke bottle doesn't help either. Use a container like this, and when it's full, take it to your hazardous waste facility, which almost every county in the USA has. This is a well built container, with the leading brand in sharps disposal.
