This is a very good SHTF backup food stuff. It tastes like a mixture of spam and canned/tinned corned beef. IT IS VERY SALTY, about like spam. Also when you open the can, it will be swimming in fat. It's what you want for emergency food. I may buy some more, if I can find it at a decent price. BTW, they should rename this product "Banner Sandwich Spread", and stock it in walmarts all over the country. It would then be easy to find and buy. It actually is a real good and spicy sandwich spread, not a sausage.UPDATE 6-19-2021: I am now the proud owner of 21 cases of Banner Sausage for SHTF.
