Recent User Experience

adult male here . . . Age: young enough to know that one gets what one pays for (or something like that); old enough to know when I'm being price-gouged.On a perpetual search for a leave-in conditioner featuring the strangely elusive cherry bark, I finally spotted this Velveteen stuff and saw that cherry bark is a main ingredient. Good. Let's buy it -- gtf OUT!! $26.00 for a measly 6.7 oz.?? Not wanting to devote a whole morning for an online hunt, I caved and am now using it. This is a very, very good conditioner, balm, whatever. Doesn't smell like the Nature's Gate product, but just as unique and pleasant. Most importantly, it absolutely leaves my hair touch-soft and static free and with little to no trace of build-up. Only, there is one issue about this stuff that really irks me and another lesser one: yep. $26- for just 6.7 ounces. Someone should inform Amika-- or its distributor -- that it's okay to pluck that first nickel out from between its collective buttocks. Like, the sky won't fall and passersby won't spontaneously combust...hint, HINT. Amika should either knock at least 20% off the sky-high price or, at minimum, double the amount of product if they're so attached to the $26 price tag. As good as it is, I refuse to pay so much for so little. And...a premium price for a premium product needs to make a visual impression. The current yellow plastic bottles with the ridiculous cap needs to be scrapped.Great product + stingy (as in: stin-gee, miserly, etc.) company + poorly designed presentation = "I can spend less than half and get three times the amount of a nearly-as-good competitor's conditioner."
