I have evaluated literally every type of scope you can think of (standard, cardiology, and electronic) from every brand I could lay my hands on. These work the best of all of them on the ambulance. Most cardiology scopes do a great job with heart tones, but not all do as well with lung sounds and some introduce extra artifact noise when going down the road. This one amplifies lung sounds the best of any we've tried without extra noise. Six of our members even held a head-to-head competition of different brands of cardiology scopes in the noisiest environment they could find (a tractor pull!) and every member picked this one without exception. The road tests we subjected them to went the same way. I've sold the other scopes and we now use these exclusively. It's even better than the L-brand premium electronic digital recording stethoscope as you can clearly hear heart sounds, lung sounds, and BPs without amplifying the road noise as well. We keep evaluating new models that come out, and keep coming back to this one.
