My hair is fine and fragile and because of that, I have to watch anything I put in it because if it's too heavy or oily, my hair looks nasty and does nothing by way of styling.I originally thought this was a balm for using heat tools but it's actually just a texturizing balm used to let your hair dry naturally. I always want those loose, casual, beachy waves and while this doesn't do exactly that, it's a lot better than most other products I've tried.It's very light; it's a creamy balm with a very light scent and if your hair is like mine, you don't need a lot of it at all. I used a pea-sized dab and did almost all my hair then added a bit less than that to just the ends and let it dry.It doesn't make my hair any wavier than it is, which is what curling products do, so it's not that, and it doesn't make my hair have that piece-y look, it's more of it adding a bit more volume and softness so my hair doesn't look so stringy like it usually does when I air dry.It's very nice, I really like it. It's a good alternative to the stringy, floofy look without having to get out the heat tools and do stuff when all I have to do is go work out in the weather.My hair feels good with no stiffness or flaking off, and it doesn't feel weighed down. I'd definitely recommend this for hair like mine. I imagine more of it would work well on thicker or coarse hair but I really can't speak to that.Given how little I use, it's a good value for me because it will last me a while. I'd say it's still a good value even if I used more because it is a good product and that counts for a lot.
