I always wondered about what I would do in an emergency, if the grid went down and I could buy pads at the store for a time. This is the solution here- washable pads! This is a set of 5 pads. I thought they were decent. One thing I didn't like was a slight chemical smell to them when they first arrived, I almost thought they smelled like rubber. But they aired out quickly and that smell went away. The fabrics they choose for each set are random and some of them I found odd. The fabric quality seems on the lower end to me. The patterns are a bit hokey. (Nursery themed and such) The fleece side is the side that goes against your skin and that is soft. I thought these were pretty thin actually compared to most sewn washable pads. I'm pretty sure these have a waterproof lining inside (and that was what I was smelling, the plastic or rubber inside) so even though thin I expect these should work fine. I'm menopausal now myself, so menstruation is not an issue for me anymore, but I got these to have on hand for my daughter to use if we are running low on our usual pad stock or if for some reason, we can't get to the store for more. They seem to me like they should be comfortable to wear although I can see how the rotating around might be an issue with these, if you are wearing them in the day and walking around.
