The item worked for the intended purpose, yet it was a bit difficult to breath through the unit. Of course being 6 ft 3 in, over 220 lbs, I have a higher oxygen demand than someone smaller. It could be difficult for someone in very strenuous activity to get the lean filtered air. But, it worked. It did fit my face, which is the main reason one should check prior to ordering one.
